![]() ![]() I've said it before.unless you are boosting beyond 12-14 psi you can absolutely utilize the Delphi ECU with scaling applied to the tables. ![]() It's a step back in my opinion (ion sensing is much more accurate AND much more resilient to "phantom knock" which is a nightmare in itself to get around). Why? My guesses are costs (way cheaper hardware) and possibly simpler to tune during R&D. Ron is right, the newer bikes (not vrods) have gone back to acoustic knock sensors. Lots of this IS documented.the "non standard" stuff + the hardware has me looking for vodka at times.ĭTT is an ancient piece of hardware that was the ONLY choice before the Delphi ECU's were cracked by two guys (one behind the Powervision and the other behind TTS Mastertune).ĭTT doesn't integrate with our ion sensing knock system because the actual DSP hardware is inside the ECU (coupled with the fact that it's proprietary and requires a license to have access to assuming you even COULD get such an arrangement in place/afford it). I've been working on a digital dash project for these bikes. I had to spend a good 6 months getting through the non standard BS to get everything sorted out. I wrote an ABS flush app (that I still sell) for Harley's. Despite the fact that the ECU is "just" an MT05 unit, HD clearly had some latitude with Delphi when adapting it to our bikes. SOME of the generic pids function as mentioned by one of the other posters in this thread, it's when you try to view data for sensors you actually care about (knock counts, timing, afr, trims, etc) that you need some luck finding or researching (read debugging). The problem is when you go "off the beaten path" so to speak. Indeed you CAN read data off the bus with everything from cheap (Chinese) interfaces to some of the higher end options (I built my own a few years ago for one of my projects). Click to expand. Our bikes (all Vrods as HD never implemented CAN for any of the Vrods) are J1850 bus based. ![]()
